Warriors for Christ exists to proclaim Jesus Christ, call sinners to repentance and faith, contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints, expose false doctrine, equip believers to defend the truth, and take the Gospel into the public square.
We do not believe the Church has been called to conform to the spirit of the age, seek the approval of the world, or remain silent in the face of sin and deception. We are called to love God, love our neighbor, obey Christ, make disciples, expose the works of darkness, and proclaim the whole counsel of God.
Our final authority is not tradition, denomination, culture, political ideology, personal experience, or popular opinion. Our final authority is the Word of God.
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and are the final authority for faith, doctrine, morality, and Christian practice.
Scripture is to be interpreted according to its context, grammar, history, and the intent of its authors rather than being reshaped to accommodate modern culture or theological systems imposed upon the text.
We believe Christians are responsible to study the Scriptures, test every teaching, and reject any doctrine that contradicts the Word of God.
No pastor, preacher, church, denomination, tradition, council, prophet, vision, or claimed revelation possesses authority to overturn what God has revealed in Scripture.
We believe there is one true and living God, the Creator of heaven and earth and everything within them.
The one God eternally exists as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is not the Father, yet there is one God.
We therefore reject modalism and Oneness theology, which deny the eternal personal distinctions revealed in Scripture between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God is holy, righteous, loving, just, merciful, personal, relational, and actively involved with His creation.
God genuinely interacts with mankind. His calls to repentance are genuine, His warnings are meaningful, prayer matters, human decisions have real consequences, and our relationship with God is real rather than an illusion produced by an exhaustively predetermined script.
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.
He did not come into existence at Bethlehem. The Son existed with the Father before His incarnation and shared in the glory of God before the foundation of the world.
Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is truly God and truly man.
He lived without sin, proclaimed the Kingdom of God, performed mighty works, willingly gave His life for sinners upon the cross, was buried, and bodily rose from the dead on the third day.
He ascended into heaven and will personally return.
There is salvation in no other name. Jesus is not merely a prophet, moral teacher, political revolutionary, or one religious path among many. He is the Son of God, Lord, Messiah, Savior, and King.
Any religious system that ultimately denies the Father and the Son rejects the God revealed in Scripture.
We believe the Holy Spirit is divine and personal, not merely an impersonal force or influence.
The Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He works in believers, empowers God's people for obedience and ministry, produces godly fruit, distributes gifts according to God's will, and leads believers into truth.
No alleged manifestation, prophecy, spiritual experience, dream, vision, or supernatural sign should be accepted merely because someone claims it came from God. Every spiritual claim must be tested according to Scripture.
The Holy Spirit will never contradict the Word He inspired.
We believe mankind was created by God and that human beings possess genuine moral agency and are accountable before Him.
All people have sinned and therefore need reconciliation with God.
We reject the idea that people are morally excused because God irresistibly predetermined their sinful choices. God's commands, warnings, invitations, judgments, and calls to repentance are genuine.
People are responsible for how they respond to the truth God gives them.
Sin is not merely a mistake, weakness, psychological condition, or violation of changing cultural standards. Sin is lawlessness and rebellion against God.
God commands all people everywhere to repent.
We believe salvation is made possible through Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection.
Salvation cannot be earned through human merit, religious ritual, church membership, or works of the law. It is God's grace that makes reconciliation with Him possible.
At the same time, Scripture does not describe saving faith as mere intellectual agreement, a momentary profession, or repeating a formula.
Biblical faith is living, obedient, persevering trust in Jesus Christ.
Faith without works is dead.
Jesus did not merely command people to make a profession of faith. He commanded people to repent, believe, follow Him, abide in Him, obey Him, and endure.
Good works do not purchase salvation. Rather, obedience and righteous fruit belong to a living faith.
We therefore reject both legalism and the opposite error of turning grace into permission for continued rebellion.
Repentance is not simply feeling sorry for sin.
Biblical repentance involves a genuine turning from sin toward God.
The Gospel call therefore includes repentance, faith, obedience, and discipleship.
We reject presentations of salvation that assure people they are eternally secure merely because they repeated a prayer, walked an aisle, raised a hand, or made a profession while continuing in deliberate rebellion against Christ.
There is no magical “sinner's prayer” that saves a person apart from genuine repentance and faith.
We reject the doctrine commonly expressed as “once saved, always saved” when it teaches that a person may permanently abandon Christ, return to deliberate rebellion and unbelief, and nevertheless remain unconditionally guaranteed eternal life because of a previous profession.
Scripture repeatedly commands believers to continue, abide, endure, remain faithful, and not fall away.
These warnings are real.
A believer's confidence is found in Christ, not in presumption. Christians are called to continue in faith and obedience until the end.
God is faithful, provides grace sufficient for obedience, and does not desire His people to fall away. Nevertheless, Scripture's warnings against apostasy must not be explained away.
We believe Christians are called to live holy lives.
Grace does not merely forgive sin; it teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live righteously.
Scripture declares, “the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.”
We reject the idea that pursuing holiness is somehow opposed to grace.
Christians will not attain maturity instantaneously, and believers may stumble, but the normal Christian life is characterized by repentance, growth, obedience, righteousness, and increasing conformity to Christ rather than comfortable surrender to sin.
We believe the Church consists of those who belong to Jesus Christ.
Christ is the Head of His Church.
The Church exists to worship God, teach sound doctrine, make disciples, proclaim the Gospel, practice fellowship, care for believers, confront sin, defend truth, and equip Christians for ministry.
The Church is not called to entertain the world or modify biblical doctrine to gain cultural approval.
Christians should expose false teaching and contend for sound doctrine while conducting themselves according to the commands of Christ.
We believe Scripture establishes qualifications and responsibilities for leadership within the Church.
Men who serve as pastors, elders, overseers, and teachers of the assembled church must meet the biblical qualifications established in Scripture.
We believe Scripture reserves governing pastoral authority and the authoritative teaching of men in the gathered church to qualified men.
Men are commanded to lead sacrificially and humbly, following the example of Christ rather than using biblical authority as an excuse for domination or abuse.
Men and women are equally valuable before God while possessing roles and responsibilities established by Scripture.
We believe God created humanity male and female.
Biological sex is part of God's created order and is not determined by subjective identity.
We believe marriage was established by God as a covenantal union between one man and one woman.
Sexual intimacy belongs within that marriage covenant.
Therefore adultery, fornication, homosexual sexual activity, pornography, and other forms of sexual immorality are contrary to God's design.
At the same time, the Gospel is offered to every sinner. No category of sin places someone beyond the possibility of repentance, forgiveness, transformation, and reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ.
We believe marriage is intended to be a faithful covenant and should not be treated casually.
Scripture nevertheless recognizes circumstances in which a marriage covenant may be broken and in which divorce and remarriage may be biblically permissible.
We reject both casual divorce and teachings that condemn every divorced or remarried person regardless of the biblical circumstances surrounding the previous marriage.
Questions involving divorce and remarriage must be judged according to the whole counsel of Scripture rather than human tradition.
We believe Jesus commanded His followers to go into the world and proclaim the Gospel.
The Gospel was never intended to remain confined within church buildings.
Public preaching has a clear biblical precedent in the prophets, Jesus Christ, the apostles, and the early Church.
Warriors for Christ therefore believes Christians may proclaim biblical truth openly in streets, parks, campuses, sidewalks, and other lawful public places.
Evangelism includes compassion, reasoning, persuasion, warning, rebuke, answering objections, defending the faith, and calling sinners to repentance.
Some should be approached with compassion, while others must be warned with urgency and the fear of coming judgment.
Biblical love does not require silence concerning sin.
We reject the modern assumption that love must always appear soft, agreeable, or nonconfrontational. Jesus and the apostles demonstrated that genuine love sometimes speaks gently and sometimes rebukes sharply.
Our goal in confrontation must never be hatred, violence, personal vengeance, or humiliation for its own sake. The purpose is to proclaim truth, expose deception, call sinners to repentance, defend the faith, and glorify Jesus Christ.
We believe Christians should be prepared to give a defense for the hope within them and should contend earnestly for the faith.
False doctrine should be identified and answered.
Religious claims should be tested rather than granted immunity from examination merely because they are sincerely held.
Warriors for Christ therefore engages in apologetics and polemics concerning false religions, cults, theological error, cultural deception, and corruption within professing Christianity.
No religious teacher, ministry, denomination, or tradition is above biblical examination, including our own.
Truth matters more than popularity, reputation, platform, or institutional loyalty.
We believe Christians should obey governing authorities wherever doing so does not require disobedience to God.
When human authority directly commands what God forbids or forbids what God commands, “we must obey God rather than men.”
Christians should peacefully exercise their freedom to preach, evangelize, assemble, worship, and speak biblical truth.
We reject violence as a means of advancing the Gospel.
The weapons of the Christian's warfare are not carnal. The Kingdom of Christ is advanced through truth, prayer, preaching, faithful obedience, suffering, and the power of God rather than coercion.
We reject the idolatry of any modern nation or government.
No earthly government is above moral examination simply because it possesses biblical or historical significance.
Jesus Christ must remain the center of Christian theology.
Salvation is through Christ alone, and ethnic ancestry does not eliminate the need for repentance and faith in Him.
Christians should judge the actions of nations according to truth and righteousness rather than granting unconditional spiritual approval to any modern state.
We believe Jesus Christ will personally return.
The dead will be raised, mankind will stand before God in judgment, evil will finally be defeated, and Christ's Kingdom will triumph.
We reject date-setting and sensational speculation concerning Christ's return.
Regarding the timing of end-times events, our practical position is:
Live pre-trib. Prepare post-trib.
Christians should always be prepared for Christ's return while also being spiritually prepared to endure persecution, hardship, and suffering should they occur.
Our hope is not escape from difficulty but faithfulness to Jesus Christ.
We believe every person will ultimately answer to God.
There will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous and a final judgment.
Eternal life is found in Jesus Christ.
Those who persist in rejecting God and remain outside Christ face divine judgment.
Hell is not merely a metaphor for an unpleasant life on earth. God's warnings concerning final judgment are real and should be preached honestly.
The reality of judgment is one reason the Gospel must be proclaimed urgently.
We believe Christians should expect opposition and suffering for following Jesus Christ.
Christ did not promise His disciples lives of comfort, popularity, wealth, or social acceptance.
Believers may suffer rejection, persecution, loss, hatred, imprisonment, or even death because of their faithfulness to Christ.
We therefore reject prosperity teachings that portray material success or freedom from suffering as guaranteed evidence of God's favor.
Following Christ may cost us everything in this world.
Christ is worth the cost.
Warriors for Christ exists to preach Christ where He is welcomed and where He is hated; to proclaim truth when it is popular and when it carries a cost; to equip Christians to defend their faith; to expose false doctrine; to call sinners to repentance; to strengthen believers; and to contend for biblical truth without compromise.
We will not measure faithfulness by crowds, applause, social acceptance, or worldly success.
Our allegiance belongs first to Jesus Christ.
We believe the Gospel is still the power of God for salvation, the Word of God is still true, sinners still need repentance, Christians are still commanded to make disciples, and Jesus Christ is still Lord.
